Board Meetings

Meeting Opening

• The meeting was called to order at 9:06 AM by VP Jayne Handley.

Open Forum Topics

1. Security Cameras at the Back Gate

• Residents inquired about the status of security cameras.

• The board is reviewing quotes, some of which are costly.

• No final decision has been made.

2. Concerns About Data Collection & Transparency

• Several members raised concerns regarding privacy and HOA data collection policies.

• Some members preferred the open forum to take place at the end of the meeting to allow responses to discussions.

3. Rear Gate Issues

• A package delivery driver punctured tires on the rear gate spikes.

• Concerns were raised about the effectiveness of the warning signs.

4. Late Fee Reversal Request

• A board member requested a reversal of late fees due to an automatic payment setup error.

• The board debated the issue in a public, open forum, ultimately agreeing to waive half the fees while stating that board members should be help to a higher standard.

Budget & Reserve Study Discussion

• The HOA reserve study recommended increasing monthly reserve contributions by 17%.

• The board questioned this recommendation, given that the community is already considered “strongly funded.” No evidence was provided on the definition of “strongly funded.”

• Interest earnings on HOA reserves were not clearly accounted for in the reserve study. Income taxes were excluded from the report.

Landscaping Services
