Back Gate, New Eyes :-)

Smile … You’re on Camera

Reality

For years, the back-gate cameras had all the clarity of late-night TV static. Grainy images. Missed moments. Lots of “Was that a car…or a raccoon?”

Despite expensive DSL lines so someone, somewhere, could watch what amounted to TV snow, identifying tailgaters or gate damage was nearly impossible.

That era is officially over.

With the new HOA Board in place, the back-gate camera system has been upgraded and…miracle of miracles…it now actually works. In recent incidents, we’ve clearly identified:

  • Individuals who damaged the gate
  • Residents who kindly (but wrongly) waved non-residents through with their clickers

Faces. Vehicles. Time stamps. The whole cinematic experience.

Consequences

Let’s be perfectly clear (unlike the old cameras):

If you damage HOA property or allow unauthorized access, you will be identified. And yes…names are being taken.

Violations of gate and security rules carry consequences under our governing documents, and enforcement will follow. This isn’t about being punitive; it’s about safety, fairness, and protecting everyone’s investment in our community.

Call to Action

Please use your clicker responsibly. Don’t tailgate. Don’t invite strangers into the neighborhood…no matter how friendly they look or how convincing the wave is.

And if you’re thinking of testing the system?

Go ahead and smile for the camera. It’s finally high-definition.
