Survey Results

Based on the results from the Eastridge Hills HOA, Security Guard Preference Survey, the overall sentiment regarding the addition of a live, part-time security guards at the back gate is strongly positive.

Out of 41 total responses, 26 residents (63.4%) expressed a positive opinion, with the majority indicating they “Strongly support” the addition of a guard under the cost-adjusted scenario. These supporters generally view a live guard as “Much more effective” than technology-only systems at reducing tailgating and unauthorized access.

Conversely, 8 residents (19.5%) expressed a negative sentiment, mostly indicating they “Strongly oppose” the measure. These individuals often prioritize lower upfront costs or believe that technology solutions are sufficient. Finally, 7 residents (17.1%) remained neutral or unsure, categorized here as nonresponsive.

“Out of 81 eligible members, 41 chose to participate. The survey accurately reflects the views of participating members and shows a clear majority position. Members who chose not to participate were not forced to, and no assumptions are made about their views.”

We did withhold information that could have biased the survey: Our 2026 Eastridge Hills Budget will likely cover all expenses for an 8-hour, daily Gate Attendant at our back gate for the entire year with no increase in our dues. This is made possible by the efforts of both Eddie Williams, our Treasurer, and Carolyn Goodall, our board President scrutinizing past financial missteps of the Kelly Company and the complacency of the recalled Board of Directors. The savings included unnecessary contractual payments, (insurance, management firm, legal), charges of excessive technology, and improper reimbursements to the Eastridge Property Owners Association (EPOA).
